6 Weeks Away!
By Drew Howard , President, HomePro, Inc.
Spring is fast approaching.
Iām sure we will have several
cold snaps and possibly a snow or two before
we see the first bloom. Now is the time to
start organizing, planning, and de-cluttering
your home to put it on the market. First
impressions are lasting. If you hope to get
the best price for your home, never under-
estimate the power of the first impressions.
Potential buyers are likely to return to a house
that impresses them at first glance, while
houses that appear poorly maintained sel-
dom sustain their interest. You can impress
potential buyers by presenting your home as
an attractive place to live. Buyers look for a
house that looks clean, neat and well kept. condition (HVAC), water heater, and kitchen
appliances. You can also purchase a home
sellers home warranty. This can add in the
strength of marketing your home.
You might consider having a pre-listing
home inspection. This will give you a great
road map as to the
condition of your
home, age of the sys-
tems, and screen for
any major problems.
The inspector can
point out mainte-
nance items, life cycle
and expected cost
of replacement for
major components
such as the roof, heat-
ing ventilation and air If you have any questions please call me at

If you have a septic system and no record
of the tank being pumped in the last 5-7
years, now would be the time to have that
done. You could be pro-active and hire a
pest control company to screen for animals
such as birds, bats, and squirrels in the attic.
They can look for termites and other wood
destroying pests. Now would be a great time
to talk and schedule a landscape company
to clean the yard, fertilize, and mulch flower
beds.
