Mary Beth Koester was promoted to director of Rea’s business valuation services team. Tim McDaniel was appointed to the position of managing director of the firm’s consulting division. 16 Several firm thought leaders came together at Comfort Suites Hotel & Conference Center in Berlin, on Friday, Oct. 5, to celebrate Rea’s second annual Manufacturing Educa- tion Day event. The local seminar, held in conjunction with the national Manufacturing Day 2018 event, featured Doug Houser (Zanesville), who spoke on bank relationships and financing structure; Renee West (New Philadelphia), who provided resources for ensuring competitive strategies to attract and retain employees; Andrew Geiser (Millersburg), who asked attendees if their business results matched their perceived cost structure; and Maura Zace (Wooster) & Heather McNichols (New Philadelphia), who discussed the benefits of outsourcing key accounting functions. The firm launched Rise & Shine, a quarterly print newsletter tailored to those in the agribusi- ness industry throughout the region and across Ohio. The summer edition hit mailboxes in August.
