They were never the bad guys and every action taken by them was made for the making of a greater and bigger state that would able to take fate by the horns and make it summit to the southern hearth and soul. The story never gave itself a chance to explain and understand both side of the story… a clear examples where their fight against native americans in which according to them they surrender peacefully and accepted modern technology with a big shiny smile knowing it was the best for them, quoting “ Native American evolved with new technology making lives easier for everybody” , when we know exactly the story of violence and genocide that actually happened.Another example of obvious bias was the poorly representation of Santa Anna character and his war strategies, painting him as the ultimate evil in the war, also ignoring again all the sacrifice, death and sorrow that wars normally carry with them. At the end of the day it was a really good production with obvious propaganda intention toward little texans kids and teens.
