Firstable, at 8:45 in the morning, we arrived to the congress, and got surprised by the majestic building in front of us. In fact, Austin’s capitol is the biggest capitol building in the United States of America Later at 8:47, the capitol assigned us our respective tour guides, who explained us some of the history of the construction and the materials of the capitol.

As well, at 9:00, the tour guide told us about the Capitol Rotonda, some history and facts about it, such as the Statue of Liberty fitting at the top of the Capitol. In the topic of history, she told us about Texas's Independence , Santa Anna's surrender, and every governor in Texas through time. It was really interesting, but the most shocking fact was the reason of the name behind the popular amusement park Six Flags, according to the tour guide:

“The name Six Flags is due to the countries that conquer Texas, and get his Independence of. Those countries are: México, United States of America, Spain, France, The Confederate States of America, and The Republic of Texas”

Almost at 10:00, we go to the Capitol visitor Center for a Scavenger Hunt, and to buy in the fabulous gift shop. It was 11:00 a.m and the tour guide changed, and the new guide accompanied us through the capitol grounds and their rich history in Afro american culture and the Texas’s past. At 11:20, the tour guide told us about the ground in front of the actual Capitol were the 3th capitol was built, but burned down (what a surprise) and now is a beautiful garden, also used as a parking lot. When 11:30 arrived, a full explanation of the rich story of the 6th street and how the architecture we saw , could speak louder than words. It deserve to be visited, if you want to have this history in your life. At 12:00 p.m, on a little departure we enter and there was the “ Driskill hotel ”. An hotel that is not only majestic, but also has a amazing spooky ghost story:

“After being betrayed by his brother in law. By selling the hotel outside the family, mister Driskill died of a broken heart. He had to sell him the hotel after a long winter that killed ⅔ of his cattles. Now, his spirit is searching revenge in the hotel‘s corridors”.

Spooky and mysterious. The most interesting thing we saw at 12:20, was the car used by the police to pursue Bonnie and Clyde Finally , at 12:30 the authority set us us free to eat and enjoy the 6th Avenue.
