Poem of the month

It’s not a chance to take

It’s not a chance to take,

Racism isn’t just a piece of cake,

Yes it hurts, yes it burns,

But what happens when it returns?

From Pakis, Blacks, Somalis and Jews,

They’ll all steal your stews,

Whites, Indians, Chinese and the Japs,

Same old stories, but different traps.

We’re all the same inside,

Just a little different outside,

Black, White, Brown or Yellow,

How does that make anyone a useless fellow?

Don’t give him your lunch cause he’s black,

Don’t give him your lunch cause he’s a poor Jap,

They wouldn’t do it to you,

So why do it to their crew?

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

We’re all the same head,

Including you.
