English-speaking country. Therefore, a student is considered worstprepared by a university if they neglected to improve their spoken or
written English.
There is, of course, a second consideration of qualification: how
much a student loves their subject of study. Are you passionate
enough in your field of study to work to improve the details of your
qualification? Are you one of those students who promise to prepare
for a challenge but fail to meet a qualification at the critical time?
Our objective as a group of professionals with knowledge of the
strengths and weaknesses of students in China, generally, puts us in
the best place possible to help Chinese students to prepare to join a
university abroad by working on two target areas:
1) Writing an application to an English-speak ing university
2) Receiving an education in an English-speaking university
Think about these two processes and see if you are mentally able to
prepare to meet the challenge of going through them. How much is
useful to help you to get through them successfully?
Even in its presentation, this magazine is designed to teach students
who want to improve their knowledge and presentation to a quality
of effort that will help them achieve their goal. A grade, as we know,
is subjective2 and, in some schools all over the world, corruption is a
barrier that must be overcome. In applying to a Western university, it
is not likely that corruption will be the path to take you abroad even
if you make a very good effort. Officials representing a university are
expected to protect it against improper proposals and they are likely
to be prosecuted and sent to prison for any breach of the law.

See your dictionary! This is a common word in academic vocabulary. Some students in Chinese
schools know what it means but many do not and often confuse it with the noun as a subject of
a sentence. Others confuse it with the word subject as “a field of study.” Please make sure you
use opportunities such as this to raise the level of your vocabulary.
