Congratulations to the 12 graduates of the March 2020 Field Training Officer (FTO)
Certification Course! The Field Training Officer Certification Course is a 40-hour
course designed to provide officers the skills and knowledge necessary to be
effective in the assignment as a Field Training Officer. The Program combines on-
the-job instruction with objective evaluation and documentation. Students gain an
understanding of their role as an FTO, trainer liability, communication strategies
and effective methods of teaching.
