The Charles Christian Tuller House

The Charles Christian Tuller House is a men's re-entry and recovery-focused halfway house located in Covington, GA . Their facility is a residential-style home with shared bedrooms. They help residents navigate the many challenges involved in transitioning back into the community after incarceration. The house is set up to provide a safe, serene environment for residents to build a new crime-free life centered around 12-step recovery principles. The CCT house assists residents in developing transitional life skills, healthy living choices, career exploration, personal finance guidance, and peer-led support groups. Along with required attendance to a 12-Step Program of their choosing, these tools boost self-esteem and provide residents a way to break free of the self-destructive ways of thinking and behaving which created so much pain, sorrow, and loss in their lives. Additional services include assisted apartment search, assisted job search, and transition planning.

During this last quarter, the Reentry Service Housing Unit acquired six additional RPH housing providers. DCS is now able to offer RPH services to 43 providers in total. Below is a listing of our newest providers.

A Safe Place to Lay

A safe Place to Lay provides housing to male adults in the Albany area. The home provides private bedrooms to it’s residents with shared common areas. Staff can offer assistance with employment referrals, vocational training programs, and other supportive services. They can also assist with resume writing and interview techniques to help further employment potential for program participants. “Life Skills” workshops, which are voluntary, are held monthly to teach bill paying, banking, budgeting and savings techniques.

Angels in Flight Recovery Center

Angels in Flight Recovery Center is a non-profit, community based Recovery organization dedicated to eliminating substance use disorders. They help promote health and healing to those that suffer from these disorders. They offer supportive housing to both men and women looking for long-term recovery. The Center also offers employment services which assist in eradicating homelessness and poverty. They are located in Wrightsville.
