Community Coordination

Dougherty Judicial CSO Jessica Fenn referred a probationer under her supervision to the Community Impact Center . He had been looking for employment since his release in 2018 , without any success . While at the Community Impact Center , he was referred to the Goodwill Career Center for assistance with finding gainful employment that met the requirements of his supervision . The Career Center Manager , Marie Darsey , took a look at his background information , education and employment and immediately began trying to find him a job . She was successful and he soon went to work at Blackbeard ' s Seafood and Barbecue Restaurant . Within months he was promoted and is now responsible for hiring staff . In this new position , he recently reached out to Mrs . Darsey and asked her to send anyone she recommends to see him . Through this opportunity extended to him he ’ s been able to give back to others under supervision .
This would not have happened if we were not able to utilize all of the partners involved with the Community Impact Center ( CIC ). The CIC has 52 organizations that provide services and resources . Special recognition goes to Officers Fenn and Hall for their work with the people they referred to the CIC and especially to Mrs . Darsey and her team for their tireless efforts on behalf of the people we are trying to help .
