Breast Cancer Awareness
# TeamDCS went PINK for breast cancer awareness throughout the month of October ! Although this month has come to an end , we will continue to celebrate , support , fight with , and honor breast cancer survivors .
# PurpleThursday
DCS participated in # PurpleThursday to raise awareness about domestic violence . Offices throughout Georgia pledged to stand with survivors , donate their time or funds to support local domestic violence shelters , rape crisis centers , and violence prevention programs .
Service Award
Karen Bowens , a member of the SP & R team , was awarded the national Whitney M . Young , Jr . Service Award for being an outstanding volunteer in the development and implementation of Scouting opportunities for youth in rural and low-income urban backgrounds . Congrats , Karen !
