The Puppy Insider Issue 2 - July 2016 | Page 9

So, I got posed with a question last month, and I thought it was quite a poignant one. The issue of tails, or rather which tail. It can’t be denied that every puppy loves wagging when they’re happy. It’s what we do. But Puppy Chaos this month came to me with this: “Some puppies can keep their puppy tail in constantly. When I try to do it, it can get uncomfortable sometimes or it just falls out after a while. I have got a show tail but it feels like I'm cheating I am not the only one am I?” Well let me just say puppy, that no, you’re not the only one. Keeping a plug in place for a prolonged period of time is not the easiest of tasks. You ideally want to start off small and extend the period of time you wear your tail for. Today, try and keep it in until it gets uncomfortable. Then take it out and try tomorrow. Gradually you should notice the amount of time it stays in for increases. It could be beneficial to get a smaller plug also. Secondly. The issue of the plug falling out. This is a common issue and can be caused by one of two things. Firstly, it could be that your plug is too small. Unfortunate, but it happens as our bodies stretch, we will need bigger plugs. But more likely, you’ve used too much lube. Using too much lube means it’s likely that the plug is going to slip out. I’ve had this happen and lead to embarrassing situations. The best thing is to just experiment and see what is right. Try using a little less. Lastly, the issue of show tails. Any puppy that tells you, or makes you feel like these tails are cheating, should not be a puppy to look up too. For a start, puppy play does not have rules. You do you. But also, a tail is a tail. You wag to your hearts content whether it be a plug, show tail, or just your bum. You wag puppy, and you wag with pride. Class time, written by Pup Sparks 30/6/2016
