Providence Champagne Luncheon & Style Show:
Advancing our Mission to Provide Quality Healthcare for All
by Jenny Peel, Director of Annual Gifts
On Friday, March 21, the Providence Foundation presented a
fabulous fashion fete featuring Waco’s best chic boutiques, a delectable
champagne luncheon catered by George’s Restaurant and a coveted
luxury raffle! Nearly 800 guests were dazzled by this spring style
preview, and, the bonus? Thanks to the remarkable support of our
sponsors, donors and guests, this festive event netted nearly $58,000
to help advance our mission to provide quality healthcare services
for all, with particular attention to the sick, poor and vulnerable.

After enjoying complimentary valet parking, guests entered the champagne reception and sipped on
mimosas while catching up with friends, shopped at the on-site gift boutique courtesy of Providence Volunteer
Services, and crossed their fingers that they would be a lucky winner of one of the seven luxury raffle items!
Luxury raffle prizes included a Tag Heuer watch set ($4000 value) donated by Boozer’s Jewelers, a $3000
spa package courtesy of NuGenesis Medical Spa, a $1000 shopping gift card donated by Dillard’s, a $2000
travel voucher courtesy of Allen Samuels House of Travel and a 6 month lease of a 2014 Mercedes-Benz E350
generously provided by Mercedes-Benz of Waco ($12000 value).
We’d like to express our grateful appreciation to all of our generous sponsors and supporters that
made the 2014 Champagne Luncheon & Style Show a great success! Your vital contributions help purchase
life-saving medical equipment and services, fund capital expansions and improvements and provide
continuing education for nurses—all of which positively impacts the lives of our neighbors, friends and loved
ones in Central Texas. Because of this continued support, over $20 million has been provided in grant funding
to the Providence Healthcare Network from the Providence Foundation since its inception in 1993.
In addition, thanks are in order for the Foundation’s incredible Development Committee. Their dedicated
planning and hard work made this a fashion fundraising event to remember! We’d like to thank committee
members Lynnette Allmon, Penny Aynesworth, Soo Battle, Sheryl Carroll, Scott Felton, Nancy Goodnight,
Meagan Hoefer, Sister Cecile Matushek, D.C., Pat Nowotny, Valerie Robinson, Kim Stevens and Christi Young.
In addition, we’d also like to thank the gorgeous (and handsome!) models, fabulous retailers who provided
over 100 outfits and our dedicated volunteers who helped set-up and execute the event. We simply could not
have pulled off an event of this magnitude without each and every one of you, and for that, we thank you!
