The Power of Connection ...continued from the cover be proactive in a transformation that will offset these unsustainable conditions in order to nurture the very Mission we’ve been called to here at Providence. And Brett’s right, “clinical integration is our pathway to the future!” The culture of our care must become person-centered . . .when we center our full attention onto the “person” we’re caring for, we discover the power of connection. The three engagement maps we will explore over the next two months include: • The Changing Healthcare Landscape—a map that is all about the current state of our industry and how it will look in the future if we don’t make necessary changes; • Working Together to Transform Healthcare—a map that will help us explore the role we have in our regional and national ministry to transform healthcare while holding sacred our Mission; and, • Person–Centered Care—a map that will explore in detail what person-centered care really is, why it’s important for our future, and what our role is in bringing person-centered care to life! TEAMPROVIDENCE: connecting people across conditions, providers, settings and time—resulting in care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and yes, “person-centered”!
