Living Off the Wall

I remember being a teenager and playing

Michael Jackson ’ s platinum album , Off The Wall , until the vinyl wore out . “ When the world is on your shoulder , gotta straighten up your act and boogie down .” As we are facing the last two quarters of the year , it can feel daunting . There is much to accomplish and so little time . It can feel like the weight of the world is really on our shoulders .
Have no fear , we will simply apply these tips to straighten up our act and boogie down !

1

Draw inspiration from our first 2 quarters !
List at least 3 accomplishments for each quarter . The momentum will propel us to greatness .

2

Center our sight on what matters ! Refresh yourself on the strategic roadmap and ensure our efforts are driving us down the critical path toward mission success .

3

Eliminate waste ! If we don ’ t actually need to spend dollars or energy , then don ’ t ! Efficiency of all resources will allow us to reach our target .

4

Innovation still rules ! Create marketable solutions that allow us to increase the top line . What product or service can we introduce that solves a problem for our customers and creates growth opportunities for the company ?
I encourage us to move from a position of pressure to a posture of power . Let ’ s move our backs from against the wall . Just as the late . great Michael Jackson told us “ life ain ’ t so bad at all , if you live it off the wall .”
Strategically Yours , Angela
