Former head coach and OC of the Trenton Capitals Tomas Malave has started the New Jersey Pirates, with his philosophy of practice makes perfect he believes he can make the Pirates a successfull team, having to face his former team twice, once in the Mercer Bowl and once in the regular season. the Pirates are geared to face the Seminoles, Rebels, Bombers, Mariners and Pharaohs in the regular season, a tough schedule for a first year team. But Tomas has high hopes for his team and sees success where most would just hope to get by .
