Coach Christian came to a struggling Capitals offense who had the talent but lack the leadership together, The Capitals lived off of the defensive success for the past two years averaging about 6 points a game, Christian brought a pass happy offense that utilized the many receivers he had at his exposal and helped Abdullah become the QB he was meant to be.

Coach Christian had a history of winning before joining the Capitals, Leading The Tacony Eagles to a Conference Chip and the Philly Spartans to a Conference chip as well so the Capitals picking him up in 17 was a big move and one the did not regret.

With The 2017 season starting Christian had to figure a way to use Troi Smith, Yusel Reddick, Kevin Perry, Aaron Miller and the Rookie Smalley, not an easy task for any coach to play all the talent on his roster but he managed to do so, his offensive line had even stepped up to be one of the best pass protection teams in the leageu and Capitals history

Christian helped lead the Capitals to a 9-4-1 season and to win a National Conference Championship
