PAC CABARET NIGHT

2

This year, the Union Catholic High School Performing Arts Company, led by teacher Mrs. Carolan, invited alumni and current PAC members to join in on singing and dancing. Cabaret night featured different UC alumni preforming Broadway musical excerpts, and their stellar performances and comic approach made it a relaxing and enjoyable night for all. Old Broadway favorites where preformed such as "All Good Gifts," "Don’t Bring Me No Bad News," and "Big Blond and Beautiful."

UC alumni Amelia Temple ‘14 gave a stunning performance of "Big Blond and Beautiful," which was met with great applause. Her riveting performance kept everyone captivated to the last second. She also demonstrated a wonderful display of on-stage confidence, a valuable skill she learned from her years preforming on that same stage with the Performing Arts Company. Mrs. Carolan also gave a wonderful performance herself. She sang a hysterical ballad that had people laughing and clapping within minutes. Her stellar performance was an excellent end to the night of amazing singers and dancers. Then, much to the audience’s surprise, from back stage came a flash mob of performance of "It’s all Happening," an excerpt from the spring play Bring It On. Other performers included Kailtin Waldron ’16 and Liz Pollard ’18. Their impressive performances were met with great enthusiasm from the audience. The different dancers and singers put on a show to be remembered and greatly helped to raise the enthusiasm for the upcoming spring production.

The night was covered by the UC live stream run by Mr. McCabe. It is available to watch on the UC website. Having this unique resource greatly helps to put UC on the cutting edge of the modern digital world. This gives the UC Community the ability to tune into any event and watch it either in real time or after the fact.

Teacher Mr. Rotondo, being both the Communications Coordinator at UC and a part of PAC, provided excellent photography of the entire night; this is also available on the UC Website. If you missed out on this great even, it is not too late to see the magic of a UC PAC performance. Come to UC this spring forthe musical Bring It On!
