Union Catholic
Spring Sports By Aidan Reidy '23
As UC once again finishes its winter season with flying colors, the spring season is upon us once again, and with it comes new opportunities for success and victory.
It’s safe to say that Union Catholic is back and better than ever. After a groundbreaking winter season and many medals later, UC finds itself as one of the top teams in the country and a force to be reckoned with. Having competed at the national level, the Union Catholic Track & Field team has their heads up high and are hoping for future success.
With discus and Javelin being added into the mix, UC hopes that these events will gain extra points for the team since it will be more competitive. The rest of the team has been working non-stop everyday for months on end.
Thanks to the coaches and their training we have seen an increase of speed, height, distance and time in the performances of the athletes. It is expected that all the athletes will only improve and continue to make UC proud.
UC has gained so much of a reputation that the school is accepting transfer students from other schools who want to come and run here. These new runners are showing promising results and are only going to make the team stronger. As of this moment UC is more confident and ever and is seeking more glory. With new athletes joining everyday coach Micheal MCcabe has faith in the youth and believes in their abilities.
