DIY Stay on Track for College
We all know that paying for and getting into college can be rough. It is easy to forget where you want your life to end up, and how you would like to get there. However, staying on track can be quite simple, follow the DIY instructions that follow to help you always remember your college goals and what you need to do to achieve them.
Step 1: Find a composition notebook, scrapbook, or bind together some pieces of paper.
Step 2: Decorate the cover with your favorite quotes; sayings that will keep you motivated in even the toughest of times. Glue on pictures from the internet, magazines, or even some that you have drawn that remind you of your goals. Be creative!
Step 3: On the first page of your notebook write about where you want to be in ten years. Write about everything that you wish to accomplish, the goals that you have met, and the opportunities that you have taken. Be as bold and as daring as you can, set yourself to high standards. “If you can dream it, you can do it.”
Step 4: On the next few pages write about what you will do to get where you want to be. Write about the organizations you would like to get involved with, the internships you would like to take, the GPA you aspire to have, and the college you want to go to. Whatever you can think of. Write it.
Step 5: Next, write about where you would be in ten years if you neglected to do these things. This will allow you to see where you could end up if you don’t take your education seriously.
