The happiness of customer-facing employees has a direct impact on creating a pleasant customer experience . The World Economic Forum report further cites the correlation between employee satisfaction and customer loyalty , since a positive experience promotes repeat business as well as new business , as satisfied customers are more likely to recommend such organizations to their friends and family .
Finally , it affects employee retention , as businesses that embrace a culture of employee happiness have increased retention , thus decreasing the cost of turnover .
