One of Diraq ’ s key strengths lies in its innovative hardware , which is constructed using a novel technology known as spins in silicon , originally invented by Prof . Dzurak , during his tenure at UNSW in 2004 . The remarkable aspect of this technology is its basis in modified transistors , the same fundamental components that currently fuel the digital world and are integral to our daily lives . By leveraging this pre-existing and extensively developed infrastructure , Diraq can tap into the trillions of dollars worth of investment and over six decades of manufacturing capabilities offered by existing semiconductor factories .
