Donato Tallo has been reflecting on the Rule of St Benedict
W
hile many may see St Benedict’s Rule as something applicable only to the monks and nuns of
Benedictine orders, or something that’s out of touch with today’s reality, it is more than fair to say that
many aspects of the Rule can be applied to nearly every aspect of our busy and hectic daily lives.
The Rule of St Benedict reminds us that God is at the
heart of all things and that all of us must seek to put
God at the centre of our lives - “So that in everything
God may be glorified” (Peter 4:11).
