It was
Fr John Baggley during his Anglican days, who remarked to me that one meaning of the words in
the Prayer of Saint John Chrysostom “where two or three are gathered together” referred to the maximum,
not just to the minimum, number required for prayer! This came to mind when we visited the Ordinariate
Group that meets at Saint Anselm’s, Earls Barton, on the outskirts of Northampton.
what is the vision
Saint Anselm’s is an
inauspicious building on the
edge of a private housing
estate. Some distance from the
road, the car park in front of
the building is blocked off by a
wall with a bollard preventing
cars from gaining access. The
writing on the notice board on
the church wall is too small to
read from the road, and in any
case, contains little or no up
to date information about the Ordinariate
Mass.
Worrying if we were at the correct place,
