Ordinariate Festival 2017

O rdinariate Festival 2017
was held on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd September. After
last year’s Festival in Birmingham, we returned to Westminster for this year’s festivities. However, not
to Westminster Cathedral Hall, but across the road to Westminster City School for the Saturday events.
On Friday evening we met at Our Lady and St
Gregory, Warwick Street, for a talk by Bishop Alan
Williams, the Bishop of Brentwood. He took as his
subject, Evangelisation. He was both informative and
inspiring. After taking some questions, we celebrated
Compline, before going down to the Church Hall for
a Reception.
Gospel in an Internet Age. Like the other talks, this
was challenging and provocative.
All the speakers received a generous and warm round
of applause. The whole affair ended with a talk by the
Ordinary during which he told us about the Associates
of the Ordinariate and the setting up of an Ordinariate
Parish. In November 2019, we are all invited to a grand

At 12.30pm we were all gathered in Westminster
Cathedral for a splendid mass celebrated according
to Divine Worship: The Missal. Back at the City
School, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch.
