Booklet published for Novena in Honour of Our Lady of Walsingham
The Portal has been asked by Mgr John Armitage and Antonia Moffat to help with the promotion of the newly re-launched and published Novena in Honour of Our Lady of Walsingham ... of course , we are more than happy to do so .

The Novena contained in the booklet is in honour of Our Lady of Walsingham and marks the start of a national mobilisation of prayer for the Church and for the nations of England ( Mary ’ s Dowry ) and Wales . It is republished by the National Catholic Shrine in Walsingham .
Updated by Shrine Rector , Mgr John Armitage , among others , the hope is that through it , the emergence of a truly nationally-led Novena will take place across the dioceses of England and Wales .
“ It is hoped that through this Novena every part of the Church in England and Wales will embrace deeply Our Lady of Walsingham as the powerful intercessor for these lands ,” said Mgr Armitage .
“ The Novena will also prepare the way for the great moment for us in England to re-own with true zeal , love and awe , the great spiritual heritage which is ours of being the Dowry of Mary .
He added , “ This Novena in honour of Our Lady of Walsingham is the beginning of a National Novena of Prayer for our country which will help us prepare spiritually for the re-dedication of England as the Dowry of Mary in 2020 on the Solemnity of the Annunciation .”
Of course , the Novena may be prayed at any time , but especially in preparation for , and celebration of , the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady on 8th December ( beginning on 29th
November ). It may also be prayed prior to a Pilgrimage to Walsingham , before the Feast of Our Lady of Walsingham on September 24 ( so starting on Sept 15 ), to prepare for any other feast of Our Lady , or for a special personal intention .
