what the Ordinariate can bring
He reacted very favourably to the idea of picking two
Ordinariate Groups and supporting them financially
for - say - five years. He said, “Even if it took resources
away from my group, I would support this idea. It
would give the opportunity for an entire atmosphere
to develop in a Group, in a Parish. It would show just
what the Ordinariate can bring, in spirituality and
Anglican Patrimony.”

After a beautiful Mass sung to the
Traditional Rite of the Book of Divine
Worship, that took just fifty-five
minutes with a homily and four hymns,
for eighty-odd people and a dozen
children; we sat down with Fr Donald
Minchew (65). He is a real character,
and we liked each other at once.
“I had no idea how overstretched the Catholic Clergy
were just keeping the show on the road; it is all they
can do. We bring the Anglican ethos: the sheep are in
the fold and safe, so we go out to the lost. That is what
is going to have to happen with the Ordinariate.
