Arnold Herron looks forward to an important day in the life of
the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham
O
rdinations are always special. I expect you have read in the press about the small number of
ordinations in the Catholic Church in these islands over the past few years. Well, in this, as in so many
other areas, the Ordinariate is bucking the trend.
Ten men are to be ordained
Deacon on Saturday 17 th June 2017,
at St James’, Spanish Place, London
W1U 3QY, where the Parish Priest
is Fr Christopher Colven, known,
I am sure, to most of our readers
as the one-time Administrator of
the Anglican Shrine of Our Lady
of Walsingham, and a friend of the
Ordinariate.
The ordination will be celebrated by
His Eminence Cardinal George Pell.
It promises to be a great occasion
with many blessings to be had by so
many; those to be ordained Deacon,
of course, but also by many others
who will be privileged to be present.
Everything begins at 11.30am on
that day. You may be sure that T he
P ortal will be present and there will
be a report in the July edition of our
magazine.
Those to be Ordained Deacon are:
Jonathan Creer and Thomas
Mason, who are both Ordinariate
seminarians at St Mary’s College,
Oscott;
