Various thoughts
The redefining
of marriage, the budget, the killing of kidnap victims, terrible events all over the
world – not least in France – have left us all feeling a bit shell-shocked.
Soldiers continue to be killed in far-away places with
strange sounding names. But terrorism is terrible and
must be fought. Kidnapping stretches our tolerance.
Give in and no-one is safe. However, if it were one’s
own parent maybe we should act differently. That is
the terror of the crime.
New groups
This year more priests and more laity are to be
received into the Church. Next month there will be a
report in The Portal from one of those newly welcomed
Groups. The Portal is to be at their reception and we
shall tell you all about it on 1 st May. Of course you will
have seen the pictures by then, and probably even read
