HipHarp show to benefit
local children’s music therapy
Tickets are now on sale for HipHarp for the Arts, an Oct. 17 show
at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall to
benefit music therapy for local children with special needs. The event is
presented by the Cultural Center of
Ponte Vedra Beach. Deborah Henson-Conant will perform her unique
musical offerings with a chrome
32-string “hipharp.” Henson-Conant
combines music and theater in a
one-woman show, and is a Grammynominated recording artists who sells
out shows across the country with
her bright blue, custom-designed
electric harp, strong voice and
wicked sense of humor.
A variety of tickets are available,
including general admission (open
seating—$45 for CCPVB members,
$50 for non-members), individual
VIP tickets (preferred open seating
with admission to a VIP cocktail
reception from 6 to 7 p.m. on the
night of the show—$100 each for
CCPVB members and $110 each for
non-members) and sponsor tables
(including table with reserved seating for 10, 10 passes to the VIP
cocktail reception, open bar all night
at the Concert Hall and sponsorship
recognition). Tickets may be purchased at the Ponte Vedra Concert

A portion of the proceeds from
HipHarp for the Arts will directly
benefit the Music Therapy outreach
program at CCPVB. Doors will open
at 7 p.m. for the Oct. 17 concert,
and the concert will begin at 7:30.

Bonnie Yales to visit Beaches Art Fest
Festival-goers will have to opportunity to meet artist Bonnie Yales in the
Beaches Museum lobby at 381 Beach
Blvd. during the upcoming Beaches
Art Fest, Sat., Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5
p.m.
Yales’ watercolors and mixed
medium paintings are often inspired
by Jerusalem, where she has spent
considerable time. Her work is currently hanging in the State Capitol
Building in Boston, and enriches more
than two hundred and fifty synagogues
in the United States. Yales’ works are
displayed in 31 states including two
