DRAMA // TREASURE ISLAND

TREASURE

LOWER SCHOOL PRODUCTION

ISLAND

The Lower School ’ s production of Treasure Island on the 22nd and 23rd June in the Tom Stoppard Theatre was a visually stunning , rip-roaring piratical adventure which appealed to young and old alike . The cast wowed audiences with their energetic performances in bringing Jim Hawkins ’ seafaring , treasure-hunting , pirate-fighting exploits to life .
The show opened with a dramatic rendition of ‘ Fifteen Men on a Dead Man ’ s Chest ’ and as pirates and tavern folk from every corner of the TST burst onto the stage ; this set the tone for a lively , fun evening ’ s entertainment . The whole ensemble displayed an infectious enthusiasm , whether they were plotting foul murders round the campfire , dancing aboard the ship or fighting on deck .
This was a truly dedicated cast and crew who took complete ownership of the TST both onstage and off to produce such an impressive show . We can ’ t wait to join them again on their next dramatic journey !
