Healey , who has been a superb addition to the senior 2nd XI . A nasty head injury which Georgia suffered in the match against Yarm meant her season was cut short ; a huge loss for us as we missed her positivity and work rate both on and off the pitch .
The addition of Kate Newbould in goal has been wonderful . Kate has been there , in the dark , cold and sideways rain , kitted up and ready to train . Her reliability at the back line of defence has saved many a nail-biting moment and she has been invaluable to the team ’ s success and outstanding lack of goals conceded this season .
The forward line which included the new-found outfield player , Hannah Hornshaw worked impeccably hard on the pitch and continued to cause problems for the defence we faced throughout the season . One last mention must go to Katie Phelps whose commitment and skills were invaluable to the success of the 2nd XI this season and again , her promotion to the 1st XI is a superb representation of how putting work in to training week in , week out does pay off .
In summary , it has been an enjoyable season with this squad of players . There have been ups and downs , with injuries and victories but this has been another marvellous season full of great memories to put in the bank . Bring on 2020 !

3rd XI

Have had a short and sweet season of only 4 games ( 2 wins and 2 draws ). This leaves the 3rd XI undefeated this season ! Despite the lack of games their commitment and enthusiasm to training has been excellent and they have all risen to the challenges provided . Our main highlight of the season has to be the comfortable win away against St Peters not because of the win but this was a focal point of the team learning to ‘ control the controllable factors ’ and evaluate their performance effectively to progress as players both individually and as a unit .
Every one of the girls who contributed to the team this season have significantly improved their tactical awareness of the game and their skill sets . Well done !
