All the girls have worked extremely hard and been enthusiastic throughout the season and team cohesion and dynamics have been at the forefront of the team ’ s success . All the girls have shown versatility and playing position and the general positive energy towards the game has been outstanding .
The most impressive games of the season have to be Hull Collegiate and Queen Margaret ’ s when the girl ’ s agility and speed paired with incredible team spirit meant the girls dominated throughout . All the girls that have been part of the squad this year have risen to the challenge and shown true pock spirit .
Defensively Evie Taggart , Hannah East and Isabelle Prescott have shown speed and resilience to apply pressure and force errors every game allowing more attacking opportunities . Lucy , Hatfield , Isobel Brosenitz and Millie Addinall have shown excellent athleticism and energy in centre court using the space effectively and ensuring the game is filled with quick decision making . Annabel Atkinson , Eunae Charlton- Harrison and Katie Williams have been faultless in their shooting capacity in some very challenging conditions using dynamic movement to get the ball into the attacking circle . Well done on a positive and successful season !
GAH Most Improved : Millie Addinall
Player of the Season : Hannah East and Katie Williams

3rd VII

Our first match against a fit and welldrilled Ashville team off the back of the Christmas holidays set the tone for what was to be a full-on season of highpaced netball . The girls in the 3rd team shrugged off the loss to Ashville and proceeded to work hard on their fitness and gelling as a team in training .
Tilly Rumgay captained the team with passion and drive and this rubbed off on her comrades as they approached their second match of the season , this time facing St Peter ’ s . The girls had found their feet since the lesson learned from Ashville and pushed Peter ’ s to a tight 12-18 loss .
It would be remiss not to mention Covid-19 which brought the 2020 season to an abrupt end , with the always hotly-anticipated clash with Hymers falling victim to the virus as well as the remaining match against Giggleswick .
The personalities within the squad formed an outstanding unit . Emma Mackay contributed in her usual way of injecting skill and pace on-court whilst Emma Rumgay and Izzy Scanlon ’ s work rate was superb . Lauren Gaze brought an element of calm to the team with her classy and clean performances and Izzy Walsh was a stalwart at GK – providing the reliable backline of defence to keep the opponents goals at bay .
Charlie Groombridge ’ s passion towards the team was quite remarkable and Ellie Douglas , a superb mid-court player was a pleasure to watch on court . Another mention must certainly go to Tilly Rumgay for her leadership , energy and sense of fun and the real MVP was undoubtedly Taggy Medforth whose shooting from any angle or area was quite sensational ; Taggy is quite a talent in front of goal .
Finally , although short , this season was memorable for many a reason but most importantly , it was the character of the girls who made it so - their commitment and character epitomise the Pocklingtonian spirit .
LKH Most Improved : Izzy Walsh
Player of the Season : Taggy Medforth
