The girls were met with a slick and fast paced opposition in the first game of the season , however , they played with pace , agility and versatility which showed promise for the rest of the season . As the term has progressed , the girls have shown big improvements with them gelling into a versatile squad .
The 1sts were captained well by Ali Cassleden who always kept the positivity within the team . Defensively , Ali and Evie Hirst were regularly a force to be reckoned with , working as a unit and often forcing errors from the opposition . In the centre court , Emilia Couttie played with such ease , fooling everyone to make it look like she didn ’ t care but then flying through with an amazing interception .
Maddie Parkinson was solid as centre playing with pace but also steadying the play when it was needed . Amie Mason and Ruby Remblance both showed great versatility , playing in many different positions in a game . Both of their defensive pressure , whether playing wing defence or goal shooter , eased the pressure on their team and allowed turn over balls to be won .
Jess McDowell and Emma Watson were solid in the shooting D . Emma holding strong , popping through at the right moment and Jess making some amazing drives into the D , often left the oppositions defence confused . Izzy Brosenitz and Evie Parkinson have also contributed positively to the 1sts , both reading the game well , making key interceptions when they are needed .
A great season which showed progression and determination .
