FIELD TRIP TO MALHAM COVE
Our school trip to Malham Cove was one really to remember as we learnt new things and saw beautiful landscapes !
We started off our adventure learning about sedimentary rock and Carboniferous lime-stone and what England was like before tectonic plates moved it away from the equator .
We visited Janet ’ s Foss which is an amazing waterfall and if you climb onto the rocks , you can go behind the waterfall . You can swim in the plunge pool below , however it ’ s very cold !
We visited Malham Cove which was used in a Harry Potter film . There were gaps in between the slabs and we measured how far the gaps went down .
In conclusion , this was an amazing trip and we got lots of knowledge and fun from it !
