BOARDING

DOLMAN HOUSE

Dolman is a great place , the atmosphere of the house is great , the staff are always cheerful and bubbly and are never shy of helping when you are in need of help .
As a member of Dolman House for roughly five years I have seen many students and staff come and go and none of them have ceased to amaze me how vibrant of a personality they have .
Every night there is always an activity you can get involved in throughout the week like cooking , going to the sports hall , swimming and , building bottle rockets all whilst still being able to set aside time to yourself and time to get your work done for school the next day .
The weekends are even better as on Sunday the whole boarding house goes out , occasionally joining up with the other boarding houses , and does something completely different every
time whether that ’ s going to the cinema or Flamingo land ! The hygiene of the house is immaculate and there is never a speck of dust in sight .
I ’ m really going to miss being part of this small community and I urge any pupil who wants to spend a night or two with their friends then I highly encourage it as you will always be welcomed with a friendly smile .

MAGIC AND MUD !

The staff and students in Dolman Boarding House have had a fabulous Michaelmas Term . Friendships are growing and the fun is in full swing .
Christmas trees have gone up and Christmas magic is flowing through the house . We kicked off the celebrations with an evening at the school production of ‘ A Christmas Carol ’, which the boys enjoyed immensely . We will be doing a spot of Christmas shopping at Meadowhall to get all those little gifts to take home . Our growing list of seasonal events includes the Boarders ’ Christmas Dinner , Christmas Movie Night , Christmas Jumper Day , Dolman Secret Santa and Party Night to mention but a few .
As the excitement builds so does the volume with spontaneous carolling and the delicious smells of festive treats being made and sampled around the house . However , the festive season also brings the inevitability of muddy boys playing rugby keeping laundry staff extremely busy !
From all staff and boys in Dolman Boarding House Have a Very Merry Christmas and as Tiny Tim would say , “ God bless us , every one !”
