1st XV

After a strong pre-season the struggle for consistent fixtures has disrupted the form of the 1st XV . However , despite of this it has been a fine season with strong victories against Giggleswick , Yarm , PHGS and Hymers twice ! Although , some of the best performances coming on the losses to Woodhouse Grove and Barnard Castle . Over 30 players , including seven u16s , have represented the 1st XV this year and this is a clear indication of strength in depth we have in our senior squad and that the future looks bright for Pocklington Rugby .
Lastly , it has been a pleasure so coach so many boys I coached before as U15s and I can only thank them for all they have given over the course of the term .

2nd XV

This has been a difficult season for the 2nd XV ; with a very small squad of senior players , it has sometimes been a struggle to get a team out , though we have always managed to do so .
Unfortunately , several of our opponents have been less conscientious and with the poor weather making many pitches in the county unplayable , we have only played 6 games , winning three but losing the others .

U16 XV
P7 / W3 / D0 / L4
Despite it being a somewhat frustrating and curtailed season due to a number of other schools unable to raise teams , and injuries and illnesses of our players , the team have acquitted themselves well . The performance of the season was no doubt against a strong Barnard Castle side where our defence was outstanding throughout .
