asking for donations from everyones “copper collection” to raise even
more money.
We have massively enjoyed our time as heads of Charity Committee and
we wish whoever takes on the role next year the best of luck and hope they
have as much fun as we have in raising money for some great causes.
Thanks once again to Mrs Alexander and Dr Andrews for all your support
and hard work – we couldn’t have done it without you.

WILBERFORCE CHARITY
CONCERT WOWS
A packed Music School witnessed the prolific talent of
Wilberforce House musicians all in the name of raising money
for their chosen charity, The Royal National Institute of
Blind People.
“An Evening with Harry Kneeshaw and Friends” showcased
musical talent from past and present students and every year
group was represented be it on violin, euphonium, voice,
marimba and harp. It was a night that celebrated diversity of
talent and most prominently Wilberforce leading light, Harry,
who has earned a scholarship to study music at the Royal
Academy next year.
“The idea to raise money for the RNIB and put on this concert came
to me from the outstanding aptitude and inspirational talent of a very
special student, Harry Kneeshaw,” said Mrs Wilson, Wilberforce
Lower School Housemistress. “Ever since he joined us seven years
ago Wilber has gone from strength to strength and winning House
Music for six years in the past ten competitions in what I like to call
“The Kneeshaw Years” is testimony to his influence.”
The night saw members of the Lower School, Niamh
Clements, Aleck Brown and Esme Regan perform on their
chosen instruments and we are sure to see more from them
in the coming years. Middle school were represented by Louis
Toulmin and Gabby Brace who have supported the House
well this year. “A Wilber event has to include the assured confidence of
Our Sixth formers, Xylia Milsom, Izzy Watson and Archie
Kneeshaw displayed polished performances and we welcomed
back Wilber OPs: Fin Henderson, Dan Johns and Cerys Rees
who showed the audience that they are still very actively
involved in making music.
However, the evening belonged to Harry who gave the
audience much delight in his virtuoso role. “It was a spectacular
night for Wilber and a great night for the charity as we raised £565
for the RNIB”.
