Flowers
There are small
flowers, the petals are
red, the flowers have
funnel shaped, they
have spike
inflorescences. The
male flowers have 5
stems and the female
flowers have trifid
style, it means that the
stigma is divided in
three parts.
General description:
Pistacia lentiscus is a dioecious shrub. It
means that the shrub has male and female
plants. It is a typical plant in the Mediterranean
area. It has a small high. The bark is light
brown and green color.
The mastic resin has been used as chewing
gum since the time of ancient Greece.
