Properties, Medicinal use Fragaria vesca
Gastronomic use
-Helps purify the blood and helps eliminate waste from the body. They are very suitable to eliminate uric acid in cases of gout and arthritis.
Strawberries can be combined with sugar and reduced over heat to make syrup. The syrup adds strawberry flavor to desserts such as cakes, pies and ice cream.
They are also useful in case of constipation and as a tonic( exerts a strengthening and regenerating action on the body) in cases of weakness, convalescence of diseases, anemia, or lack of appetite.
Smoothies can be made with fresh or frozen strawberries. Such smoothies contain the fruit blended with ice, milk, yogurt and other fruit juices.
Combine cream cheese, nuts and other fruit with strawberries to create dessert-like fruit dips.
Cheesecake with wild strawberries
The young leaves are collected during the flowering period and can be dried for later use. The roots are harvested in the fall and the fruits are plucked when they are ripe. The fruits are usually eaten fresh.
For the base: 200 g chocolate cookies, 100 g hazelnuts, 2 teaspoons of cocoa, 80 g butter
Filling: 600 g cottage cheese, 4 dl whipped cream, 200 g sugar, 500 g wild strawberries, 10 gelatin sheets
Decoration: 2 dl whipped cream, 100 g of wild strawberries
