For medical purposes, afforestation seed
heads are used. The late autumn or winter
version is harvested and dried. Seeds are
boiled and the obtained suds are used in
gastrointestinal diseases. Alder shells and
leaves have essence, anti-inflammatory and
anti-spasmodic effects; Aqueous and
alcohol solution antioxidant, painkiller,
anti-bacterial and anti-therapeutic.
Diarrhea from alder cones. Sensitive
stomach tea is made. In colds, cones are
boiled and gargled with water.
