Amethyst is a metalcore band from Dallas, TX formed in August of 2013. Parlaying the individual members success in previous bands, Amethyst released their first single, "The Captivated," in September and followed it up with the full EP, The Depth of Choice the next month. Amethyst's blend of heavy rhythms and haunting guitar melodies has resulted in an explosive fan base including fans in all 50 states and over 40 countries. Lights, lasers and fog accent their fully choreographed stage performances. Amethyst has provided support for touring acts throughout north Texas, performed at the South By So WHAT?! music festival and has completed two headlining tours in 2014.
