Eyes Like 20 is a heavy groove rock band out of Birmingham, Alabama, this band more than anything, takes pride in their pounding rhythms and melodic guitar work. Their latest effort “Magicicada” is a mix of pulse pounding, rhythmic grooves, with tons of extravagantly layered guitar leads and imaginative lyrical content. It is nothing short of anything other than perfection. From start to finish, I was impressed more than anything about how the album flowed from song to song without giving up the flavor and the feel of the music. I turned the volume as high I could crank it to try and get a sense of what this band sounds like “LIVE” onstage from the very first track simply titled “Sheep”. This amazing compilation of songs is an adrenalin driven rush of heart pounding, pulse soaring heavily influenced blues riffs mixed with drive and passion that came from every track that blasted through my
speakers. From track 1 to track 10 expect nothing more than a perfect mix of powerful and imaginative lyrics pushed by the unsurpassed strength that comes off of every guitar lick and every crash pounded on the cymbals that you can hear.
