How do you go for skills that
you’ve never done before (like
the 3.5 punch front full at PGC)?
What is your proudest
accomplishment?
“Well, being a gymnast you have super
good body awareness. Even if you
haven't tried something, your mind and
body know what to do! You just have to
let yourself try it!”
JIM
“My proudest accomplishment is to have come
out of a Division One program (Illinois) with a
bachelorʼs degree in Molecular and Cellular
Biology. ”
What has the sport [of
gymnastics] taught you about
life?
You’ve demonstrated a great talent in
art on Instagram. Is art something you
would want to pursue after
retirement and if so, in what aspect?
“Hey Jim! It has taught me that nothing in
life is easy! You have to give everything
you have if you want to achieve
something. ”
ESTEVAN
When did you first realize how
awesome you are?
“Funny question! The first time I was
assigned internationally to represent the
USA was an incredible feeling. I will
always remember that day.”
LAUREN
What is your favorite thing
about IGC?
“My favorite part is all of the people
there! Itʼs like a family where everyone
loves gymnastics! ”
KYLIE
@BSTROTH
What was the most inspirational
moment of your gymnastics
career?
“The most inspirational moment was
when I won gold on high bar at the Pan
American games.”

PORVIDA
“Maybe! I am currently exploring some
avenues of art. If I find something I love, I will
stick with it!”
How do you stay calm during a
competition?
CAITLIN
“I listen to slow music, or breathe slowly. If I
breathe slowly my heart rate lowers and I can
maintain a level of control. ”
What made you want to start doing
gymnastics?
CHARLEY
“I just loved to learn all kinds of flips!”
What inspires you when you’re not
feeling the gym? If it’s music, what
kind of artists do you listen to?
“Reflecting on my goals and the struggles that
I have been through always brings motivation
to my mind. Music works sometimes too, and
not really anything specific. Sometimes punk,
sometimes hip-hop, it just depends on what
kind of mood I want to be in.”
