How Can the Spirit Move?
(Discernment and decision-making)
Sunday, February 9, 4-5:30 PM
Sunday, February 16, 4-6 PM
Sunday March 2, 4-6 PM
All sessions will meet in the Parlor. Please register in advance.
Have you ever wondered if and how your decision-making could be more spiritually grounded? This is
a participatory workshop in which we will learn about and apply some approaches to individual and
group discernment, focusing on the Quaker tradition of clearness committees.
During the first session we’ll learn about discernment and the process of clearness committees, and do
some practice exercises.
During the second and third sessions we will form small groups and put what we are learning to use.
Participation in this workshop is open to anyone with an open mind and a willingness to spend some
time in silence and to listen deeply to others.
Participation: Minimum of 6, maximum of 15. You are asked to make a commitment to attend all three sessions. Advance registration by February 2: please call or email Janet [email protected] if you have questions and/or want to sign up.
