Molly MacDonald,
62, calls herself a “Sur-
Thrivor.” She was diagnosed
with DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma In Situ) on April 1,
2005. Diagnosed at a time
of job transition, the loss of
Molly’s income, led her to
seek help. When learning
there was no help for this
problem, Molly’s focus
changed from getting help
for herself to giving help to
others and The Pink Fund
was created, of which she is
the founder and president.
The Pink Fund helps
allow the focus to be
on healing, family and
returning to the workplace.
The Pink Fund provides up
to 90 days of non-medical
financial assistance. Molly
says, “Millions of dollars are
raised for early detection,
research, and programs for
the medically underserved.
Families facing breast
cancer urgently need
financial help now.”
“The ‘whole’ woman I was once was, pales in comparison to the
woman I have become as a result of my breast cancer journey.”
