Our warmest greetings to the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PIAP) as you initiate
the 9th Print Philippines 2013 at the World Trade Center on 18-21 September 2013 under the theme “Solid and
Trailblazing @50”.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) salutes PIAP’s determination to achieve global competitiveness
through the acquisition of modern technology and ideas of corollary talent development. The DTI together with
PIAP’s affiliates and allies in the industry fully support these initiatives in the areas of innovative strategies and
ideas to move the industry forward.
In cooperation with the private sector, the DTI launched last year the initiative to develop and craft industry
development roadmaps for integration into a Comprehensive National Industrial Strategy of the Aquino
Administration.
Enhancing competitiveness and strengthening Philippine industries are part of the Department’s objectives in
support of the President’s vision of sustained and inclusive growth. We hope that the printing industry led by PIAP
will respond to this initiative by crafting its own Roadmap to chart its long term vision, mission, strategies and
