r y’s eta ecr S ner Cor It’s been a while since I communicated with our members on a personal basis and perhaps this is a good opportunity for me to share some thoughts with all of you on the celebration of our beloved association’s Golden Anniversary. “What got you here won’t get you there” by Marshall Goldsmith While we should be jubilant at our 50th year Anniversary, we should also take a good look at the future and see what is in store for us and what should we do about it for us to continue thriving and prosper in our business in the printing industry. The association has gone through the rigor of all hardships in the past and survived. The horizon ahead is definitely challenging and needs our strong will and resolve to meet the trying circumstances in order that we may come out progressive and successful. However, our association is composed of hundreds of members and considered a strong force to contend with. It is my sincere hope that every one of us must do his/her part to help our association not only to exist but always grow to a higher plain of prominence. Let us be reminded by the saying which was derived from the late U.S. President John F. Kennedy: “Ask not what the country can do for us but what we can do for the country”. It is in God’s blessing that we are an aggrupation of hundreds of printing companies, surely there are good talents and ideas that may come from many of these companies who are represented by people of great minds and abilities. It is in this spirit that I exhort all of our members to stand up and be counted to exercise our duties and responsibilities when we took our “Oath of Membership” and diligently practice them conscientiously. The association needs you and count on you to be a part of this struggle for improvement and growth. Your voice should be heard in order to transform the association into a more democratic and potent body to attain our common aspirations. May our hearts remain true to the standards of integrity and accountability that we have collectively established through the past five decades. If this can take effect, there is no question of failure or stagnancy for “PIAP”. Together with other Directors of the Board, we thank you all for the support extended to us. Let us all pray in unison to God Almighty for His continued blessing to make a brighter future for all of us. With my warmest regards, ENRIQUE TANSIPEK GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY / 14
