He that is more than a youth is not for me, and he that is less than a man, I am not for him” William Shakespeare, Much Ado About Nothing Following my Halloween debut in the Perfect Gentleman, I was delighted to get a call back. “The next issue will be our political issue” said the voice on the other side of the phone. Having a double degree in Political Science, I nervously started running through my dusty memory log to make sure I still remember all the correct terms, events and structures of the political labyrinth. “I would like for you to write about facial hair in Politics....” A prolonged pause at my end was followed by a roaring laughter. “Off course you do!” After having a Jew write about Halloween, asking a woman to write about beards makes perfect sense...I wouldn’t have it any other way. 12 I was trying to push away the obvious historical villains out of my head in order to gain an overall perspective of the biological, sociological, cultural, historical, religious and off course political aspects...admittedly with only limited success. The recourses of research and points of reference seemed to be endless and yet I wanted to narrow it down to a more definable topic. What makes the politicians take it all off? Groomed Gentleman
