The Perfect Gentleman Issue 8 - Halloween | Page 3
From the Desk of #1PG
Dear Ladies & Gentlemen,
Welcome to Issue 8 of The Perfect Gentleman Magazine, our Halloween themed issue.
It is with great sadness that I write of the death of Nic Wing. Nic, was one of the founding partners of The Perfect
Gentleman and his influence runs through our DNA today. We pay tribute to him later in the magazine but for
now our thoughts & prayers are with his wife and his three charming children at this time.
I suppose it's apt that then in light of that news that this issue is themed about an festival that celebrates the barrier
between life & death. Halloween as a tradition has it's routes dating back to the earliest of times as our new
contributor Alexandra Kazes discovers in her article.
The modern Halloween is now a commercial entity that is in part about the bad parts of various corners of the
world and Brian Sheridan throws a stylish spin on it by describing some stylish villains. Leah Morrigan & Lydia
Foulkes talking dating villains & disasters. Ruairidh tells you how to handle real world monsters, with grace and
good manners.
We know that All Hallow's Eve is now a major excuse for a party, our style team are on hand to furnish you with
some Gentlemanly costume ideas. We would not forget the Junior Gentleman (or Ladies) and we discuss how to
make some fun & easy homemade treats.
And there is more from reviews, featured products & more. We hope you step out from behind the sofa and get
comfortable to journey into the world of the Gentleman. I can assure you, nothing will go bump in this issue.
Spookily & Gentlemanly yours,
Zach Falconer-Barfield
