STYLISH GENTLEMAN

Gentleman Hack Covering up the top half body in the beach can be a little bit of a challenge . We all know the situation , you have been out in the sun , covered in sunscreen ( of course you have ) and then you have to squeeze your body into a t-shirt that might be a little tight & hot . Take a shirt ( it can be formal or indeed causal ) that is a little frayed around the collar & cuffs in other words one that you wouldn ’ t wear out and use that as your Beach Shirt . It will be easier to get on & off and cooler as well .
We would always say stick to light fabrics , Cotton , Linen , Seersucker and the like . We would advise to stick to lighter colours , indeed even white , though you can be bold and dash out a bright colour if you are bold enough .
Generally we think you should pack quite a few shirts . Some for daytimes and some for the evenings , the more casual and short sleeves for the days and the more longer sleeves for the evening . We suggest stick to light cotton and linen for my shirts and the colour spectrum varies from the plain white to bold yellow . The choices should reflect your personality & what you are doing .
Take at least one jacket or blazer . We suggest one in Cotton , Linen or Seersucker and keep the colour simple , either beige or blue or certainly a light colour . It would be best if it matched the rest of your wardrobe that you are taking on the trip . You can also use it to fly out with .
Frequently we take a suit as well , one that can be broken up into it ’ s component parts ( jacket & trousers ) because there will be that occasion where you get invited out to the ambassador ’ s residence and needed to dress appropriately . ( Do read our Summer Suit article in the last issue of the Magazine .)
Accessories
The Sunglasses are a necessary part of the wardrobe , one of the most individual part of the look for summer style . It is always best to go with someone ’ s opinion you value when trying glasses , they can tell you if it suits your face . Have a budget and stick to it , designer labels are not always the best as well make sure it is 100 % UV protection and polarized only protects from glare . The colour & the darkness of the lense doesn ’ t affect the quality .
If the sun is beating down then a hat is a great accessory , and one that we suggest is a fabulous & stylish Panama Hat , we have already praised them in last month ' s issue . We also talked about Summer Shoes in the last issue of the Magazine , so do take a look .
We hope this was helpful ? We will be doing videos and courses on building wardrobes for holidays in the future . Holiday in Style !
